I Have my Tickets, now what?

I am so excited! I bought my theme park tickets online. At the start of my vacation I step off the flight at Orlando International Airport. I uber to Disney's Contemporary Resort. I drop my bags with bell services until my room is ready. I take the 10 minute walk to Magic Kingdom! I get to the front of the line and scan my magic band, but it won't work. I don't understand? I have a valid theme park ticket!

The story above is a nightmare that is happening to too many people. Walt Disney World Resort has changed A LOT since COVID. The biggest change is a theme park reservation. When Walt Disney World was at a very limited capacity during the height of the pandemic, theme park reservations told theme park officials how many people would be in the park at a given day. This helped to spread out crowds and let guests socially distance safely.

Now with larger crowds and capacity limits, Disney is still requiring a theme park reservation in addition to your valid theme park ticket. The availability does sell out and should be reserved as soon as your tickets are purchased. Your reservation can be made through the My Disney Experience App or online log in. The theme park reservation availability calendar can be found at https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/availability-calendar/segments=tickets,resort,passholder&defaultSegment=tickets.

This is one of the added benefits of using a travel agent during your post-covid Disney Vacation. These travel professionals keep up to date with all the new procedures and protocols that are forever changing! Don't let one large mistake potentially ruin your vacation you spent time planning and paying for!
